What your day-to-day could look likeAs a member of the Finance Team and reporting to the General Manager - Finance and Risk, the Commercial Analyst will provide support with all aspects of financial performance management, including planning, budgeting and forecasting, through the provision of quality reporting and advice with a focus on systems, process and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Review of construction projects - provide ongoing analysis and ad-hoc support
  • Preparation and presentation of accurate, timely and relevant management information, monthly reports and project reports
  • Assist with the company's FBT and annual return
  • Ensure correct costing of credit card transactions
  • Implement, maintain and improve accurate and timely reporting
  • Improve and streamline business processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare, manage and monitor the overhead budget

  • Review contracts to ensure contract terms are understood and followed including insurance requirements

  • Manage relevant Company licences and insurance renewal

  • Oversee debtor compliance and reconciliation appropriately

  • Initiate bank guarantees and manage the timely receipt of outstanding bank guarantees

You will possess the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification such as a Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting, as well as being CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of commercial accounting and administration software systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Project/contracts administration experience and/or project financial management experience.

  • Construction industry experience.

  • Current SA driver's licence.
