A range of Palliative Care Services are provided to the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The position reports to the Clinical Director, Older Persons Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation (OPSAR) and is responsible to the relevant Medical Superintendent for the provision of Palliative Care input to inpatients.

Purpose of the role

The role provides assistance to the Clinical Director of Older Persons, Sub Acute and Rehab in the provision, development and maintenance of an integrated and efficient palliative care service within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (and referring areas).

We are looking for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Palliative Care Physician to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care to patients of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
