Requirements:

  • Experience in dog care and handling - especially dog body language in order to avoid confrontations between dogs to ensure our utmost priority of their wellbeing.
  • Be available to work for shifts during our daycare hours: Tuesday-Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated work ethic
  • Current driver's license
  • Understanding of force-free, fear-free methods:
  • Proficiency in managing diverse dog energies and proactively adjusting to dynamics as they change
  • Must have current Australian work authorisation

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising, engaging, and monitoring dogs
  • Implementing basic training and manners
  • Documenting and sharing dog content on social media
  • Utilising force-free, fear-free methods
  • Maintaining facility cleanliness and hygiene
  • Recording daily dog behaviour and well-being

Qualifications Preferred, Experience Essential:

  • Completion of animal-related qualifications (e.g., Cert 3 Companion Animal Services)
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in companion dog industry roles (e.g., daycare, grooming, boarding, training, vet nursing)

Certificate III in Animal Care Services, Companion Animal Services, Captive Animals, or any animal-related Certificate
