As a Dog Trainer at Tristen's Puppy Gym, you will be responsible for training both people and dogs using force free training methods. As a leader in our organisation, you will need to embody our core values of passion, education, connection, enthusiasm and integrity.

The role will be a part time permanent role, with the option to move to full time. Hours include weekdays and Saturday mornings and some weekday evenings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Working in the day-to-day operations of our facility
- Liaising with customers, answer enquiries and manage bookings
- Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service and attention to detail
- Maintain social media page
- Regular assessment of the facility to ensure safety is priority
- Both group dog training classes, and walk and train sessions.

Experience and Skills:

- Experience handling various temperaments of dogs
- Professional experience training dogs
- Competent with computer systems
- Excellent communication skills and experience in customer service
- Passion for problem solving and high attention to detail
- A can-do attitude, initiative to get extra work done
- Quick learner
- Competent social media skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure
- Having great time management, and commitment to deliver quality in work output

Key Requirements:

- Must have professional experience in the animal industry
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to teach a class
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to train and socialise dogs of all breeds
- Available to attend a work trial shift (up to 3 hours unpaid) to determine if Tristen's Puppy Gym is the right fit for you
- Either completed or currently studying suitable qualifications

**Salary**: $22.77 - $27.00 per hour
