The Company

Our client is a highly successful global organisation with a 100 year rich history of business. With over 1000 offices internationally, they are continuing to aspire to grow. Due to recent movement in the finance team, they are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to be based in their Head Office in Brisbane's CBD.

The Role

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager, this broad role will look after the accounting for the assigned divisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Month end processes
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory consolidated accounts
  • Assist with year end audit processes
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and budgets
  • Taxation compliance - BAS, PAYG income tax instalments, payroll tax and FBT returns
  • Payment times reporting
  • Monthly dividends and distributions
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Providing support to AP/AR staff

The Person

With a background in a similar role, the successful candidate with also possess:

  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Experience in either a commercial or chartered and commercial environment
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with systems
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High level communication and relationship building skills with the ability to engage with the business
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • The drive to succeed, add value and eagerness to learn
