About the OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to Join our Infrastructure Team. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our Azure services as we transition from project delivery to production.

In this role, you'll be a technical leader, collaborating across teams, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation on Cloud Platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking and virtualization
• Manage and maintain the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by which resources are deployed and defined
• Support the expansion of Azure Services into the business and provide input to architectural decisions
• Provide advanced support and mentorship to junior engineers
• Maintain documentation and promote knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support the Systems Administration Manager as needed
• Working with Cyber Security implements robust security controls, compliance standards, and access policies
• Optimize performance and resource utilization across cloud platforms

About YOU:

• Extensive experience in Cloud Services with a focus on Azure.
• Solid experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and DevSecOps Practices.
• Proficient and experienced with IaC (Terraform and/or Bicep) and cloud automation
• Understanding of cloud security principles and compliance standards
• Expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
• Proven ability to coach and mentor less experienced staff.
• Relevant Azure or Cloud certifications
• Tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering or similar is considered desirable
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1
