Branch Manager

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded electrical wholesaler, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Branch Manager to lead one of their key branches in Melbourne's Western Suburbs.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the branch, including sales growth, team leadership, customer relationships, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will bring strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to build long-term relationships within the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities

●      Lead and manage all branch operations, including sales, warehouse, and trade counter functions

●      Coach, develop, and motivate staff to achieve sales, margin, and service targets

●      Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share within the local electrical trade market

●      Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, builders, and key project accounts

●      Oversee branch financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, stock control, and cost management

●      Ensure consistently high standards of customer service across counter sales, phone, and delivery operations

●      Maintain compliance with WHS requirements, company policies, and industry regulations

●      Monitor and analyse branch performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

●      Represent the business professionally within the local electrical and construction community

Skills & Experience

●      Proven experience as a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or senior sales leader within electrical wholesale

●      Strong knowledge of electrical products, suppliers, and contractor requirements

●      Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience

●      Solid commercial and financial acumen

●      Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

●      Experience managing inventory, pricing, and margins

●      Knowledge of the Melbourne western suburbs trade market is highly regarded
