The role:
Reporting to the Program Director, you will oversee the delivery of large-scale and complex cyber security projects. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and budgets.

Reporting to the Program Director, we are looking for a talented Project Director that will share our vision of delivering critical programs successfully in a way which inspires confidence, enhances transparency and empowers teams.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the Cyber Security Program which is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of large scale, complex cyber security projects by ensuring they are completed successfully within agreed performance criteria to enable enhanced health service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead a team of project management resources in delivering key projects
Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk ICT Cyber Security projects to ensure project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered
Ensure project outcomes are achieved and project management capability is maintained within the Division
Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards
Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health's formal project management (PM) approach and methodologies A high level knowledge of Prince2 is essential for this role
Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle
Managing conflicting priorities across various stakeholders whilst delivering and tracking to agreed budget and project plans. You will be experienced in putting together strategies, frameworks and plans to enable informed decision making on project issues
Oversee the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and budgets
Develop timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders
The following experience will be highly regarded:
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering large scale, enterprise-wide technology projects or security transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated domain knowledge across strategic cyber security planning, including risk management frameworks, financial justification of security controls and modern security architecture concepts (e.g. Data Loss Prevention or Secure Workforce Access).
Knowledge and experience in delivery projects focussed on establishing security foundations and achieving mandatory compliance and maturity requirements (e.g. Information and Cyber Security policy (IS18)).
An understanding of the operational environment within hospitals and the role that cyber security plays to support critical patient care is highly desirable.
While experience in health care is not a mandatory requirement, we highly value candidates who have demonstrated relevant experience in clinical systems, health IT, or digital health. If your experience is in other sectors, please make sure to outline how your knowledge can transfer to the healthcare context.
