An exciting opportunity in the new year for an Optical Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing, dynamic team at one of Australia's leading optometry clinics, with our world-class eye care technologies, excellence and industry-leading experience in our field.

What's on offer

We are looking for a friendly & reliable individual with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail to support our optometrists in delivering outstanding eye care. This is a unique, specialised optometry clinic with a particular focus in preventative eye treatments and contact lenses. The ideal applicant should be self-motivated, willing to learn and have a growth mindset to continue personal and professional development.

This is a multi-faceted role including reception work, customer service, optical dispensing, providing clinical assistance to our optometrists, and team projects including marketing & social media content creation. We foster a close-knit, collaborative team culture where the unique skill sets of all team members contribute to our clinic's success. Training will be provided.

Job Type: Permanent Part-Time (2-3 days per week), Casual

Flexible weekday hours on offer

Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional weekend availability

No late nights, Sundays or public holidays.

Skills & Experience

Personal experience in wearing contact lenses or OrthoK lenses an advantage in this role.

Prior experience in a medical reception role or in eye care is desirable.

Computer skills including the use of practice management software, Excel, Canva, Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve for content creation.
