An unique opportunity available for a cleaner to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our new, and growing Imagine Childcare & Kindergarten Andergrove service.

This a permanent part time role with the hours of: Monday - Friday - 9am to 1pm. These hours will increase in line with occupancy growth.

About your new role:

  • Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)
  • Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
  • Laundry washing and folding.
  • Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free.
  • Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
  • Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
  • Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
  • Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests

A little about you:

  • Previous experience as a cleaner
  • Current Blue card or willingness to obtain
  • Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
  • A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
