Overview of the Role

NeuRA Postdoctoral Fellows are academically qualified at the level of PhD or MD (or equivalent).

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow
 to join our research team on a multidisciplinary effort to better understand genetic risk, biomarker progression, and preventive strategies in individuals at risk of dementia.

Key Responsabilities

Contributions to research

  • contribute to research, e.g. through conduct of research-related procedures, development of research-related resources, or design or operation of laboratory and technical equipment
  • provide quality research output, e.g. as a co-author of peer-reviewed scientific papers
  • participate in professional activities, e.g. attendance and participation in conferences and seminars in his/her field of expertise
  • manage research projects, perform data analysis and draft manuscripts for publication.

Other contributions to the research team and to NeuRA

  • contribute to the functioning of a cooperative, efficient and harmonious research team
  • provide support to other members of the research team
  • supervision of other members of the research team
  • contribute to NeuRA outside of the research team
  • demonstrate significant responsibility for laboratory management along with day-to-day supervision of staff and students.
  • exemplify NeuRA's values in all your interactions with fellow researchers, operations and foundation staff as well as NeuRA contractors and collaborators
  • Other duties commensurate with the role, as reasonably required

Core Requirements and Experience:

  • Academically qualified at the level of PhD or MD (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and detail oriented
  • Team player
  • Demonstrable interest in Research Theme
  • Experience in clinical research desirable
  • Experience in the field of neurodegeneration
  • Experience in biomarkers projects, clinical studies and clinical trials highly desirable
  • Experience working with large data sets is desirable
