DWL Machinery is one of Australia's most reputable dealers of New and Second-hand Machinery. From small and humble beginnings, the Director began this business and operated with only himself and one other assistant for a number of years. Today the business holds over 30 employees, varying from Mechanics, Painters, Trade Assistants, Accounts and Sales, just to name a select few. The business is only continuing to expand not only internally, but through other subsidiaries and ultimately will provide exciting opportunities to progress within the company as the years progress.

DWL Machinery has recently been appointed the dealer for Develon (Formally Doosan) Construction Equipment and will soon be expanding to the Illawarra and ACT.

The opportunity

A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced Diesel Plant Mechanic to join our team

In this role, you will work and repair all types of machinery, from commercial lawn mowers, 15 tonne excavators to 30 tonne dump trucks and everything in between

Heavy Plant Diesel Mechanic skills are desired however working on machines and trucks is not essential.

We are seeking someone preferably from an OEM dealer or Machinery Hire business that has current experience with brand new machinery and working in a fast paced environment. Leading Hand positions will also be considered for the right candidate.

• Monday - Friday role with overtime on some occasions.

• Additional provisions - uniform is provided, and an onsite ute provided for use within work hours
• Opportunity to do service and breakdown work in our fully equipped service vehicle. Attend to our breakdowns and servicing for our hire fleet.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service our machinery to ensure It is ready for sale.
• Reporting faults and issues to the mechanic supervisor and work together to rectify with the spare parts supervisor.
• Maintaining and servicing our machinery hire fleet including onsite servicing.
• Maintain detailed records of each machine including any maintenance, inspections or repair services performed.
• Participate in morning meetings with the mechanical team and supervisor to discuss the daily plan and updates on machines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to OHS Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare machines for sale by performing pre-sale checklists
