Assign are a leading NDIS provider who support people with disability and their families by providing quality daily living, domestic and gardening supports. At Assign our values are centered around being passionate, caring and committed. We seek to care for our clients with the same respect and dedication with which we would care for our own family.
Role Summary
The primary role of the Scheduler is to be responsible for the coordination of staff resources, so that we are most effectively utilising our staff to deliver services to our clients. The role is accountable for building regular, ongoing staff rosters and also for putting out the day-to-day spot fires caused by unplanned absences or cancellations. The role works closely with both our staff and our clients, maintaining a customer service approach and seeking to keep all involved as well-informed as possible.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring rosters are regularly reviewed to meet key service indicators
- Minimising travel time to increase the optimisation of direct client time
- Attending to day-to-day rescheduling and covering of unplanned absences
- Ensuring the appropriate compatibility of staff with clients
This role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and works on a rotating roster with the hours as follows (Week 1 - 8:30AM-4:30PM & Week 2 - 9:00AM-5:00PM). We are located centrally in Belmont.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
Previous experience working in a scheduling position is not an essential requirement. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for details and gets a thrill out of problem solving within their work. They will have excellent time management, planning and organisational abilities. They will also be a strong communicator who enjoys developing working relationships with their key stakeholders. They will take pride in being genuinely customer service focused, represented by a friendly and positive phone manner.
Key Criteria Includes:
- Previous experience working within scheduling or rostering for a complex service delivery business, ideally within healthcare, is highly desirable but not essential
- An understanding of rostering principles is desirable, but not essential
- An understanding of the NDIS framework and its applications is desirable, but not essential
- A high level of competency using computer systems and software
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
Assign are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. If the above opportunity is one that excites and encourages you, we would welcome and encourage your application. If your application is selected for progression then we will be in touch to discuss it with you soon.
