Our Firm

Bell Lawyers is a highly respected Law firm located in Penrith specialising in Criminal Law, Traffic Offences, Family Law, Wills and Estates, Property Law and Conveyancing.

As our firm expands, we are looking for an experience Criminal Defence Lawyer to join our team.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

·       A minimum of three – five years post admission experience practising in Criminal Law.

·       Demonstrated ability to appear as solicitor advocate in Sentence Hearings, Defended Hearings, Bail Applications and conduct matters at all Court levels.

·       Sound knowledge and understanding of Practice and Procedure in the Local, District and Supreme Court.

·       Ability to appear in Conviction and Severity Appeals.

·       Ability to appear in Licence Appeals and related Traffic Proceedings.

·       Ability to instruct Counsel in serious and complex criminal and traffic matters.

You will work alongside all our team members in providing the best quality legal services to our clients.

You will have a degree of autonomy in relation to running your files and when required, work alongside our Senior Criminal Lawyer.

We would like our candidates to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients and third parties;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • High attention to detail with precision in case preparation, drafting and Court presentation;
  • Self-motivated and a strong initiative;
  • Sound knowledge of Criminal Law practice and  procedure;
  • Ability to work autonomously.
