Providing civil works solutions, we are a well-known and highly respected company providing services in roads, bridges, concrete, drainage and kerb & gutter.

We are now looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our team in Western Sydney. You will work closely in supporting the Site Supervisor and site team co-ordinate and administer construction activities to ensure the project is implemented in accordance with plans, designs, specifications, product quality control, safety, budget & to schedule. We're looking for someone with initiative, focus, and a contagious enthusiasm that mirrors our forward-thinking, growth-driven culture.

What You Bring:

  • Reliability, motivation, excellent work ethics and positive attitude

  • 3 yrs in civil works / subdivisions or other relevant experience

  • Trade qualifications not required although highly regarded

  • Experience and knowledge of managing busy sites

  • Strong time management and team leadership skills

  • Proven excellent safety record

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant safety standards and implementation

  • First Aid certificate or willing to attain

  • A can-do progressive attitude and willingness to continuously improve with a commitment to quality on the job

  • Construction white card and valid driver's license

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Supervisor

  • WHS management - safety is a priority at Devcon

  • Effective use Devcon's software and systems

  • Ensure that time frames and standards are met

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, councils, and the Devcon team

  • Manage subcontractors and labour hire to ensure quality and safety

  • Manage deliveries, maintain Devcon's commitment to quality

  • Positively engage and assist with leading the team

  • High level of communication skills

  • A desire to grow and learn
