Providing civil works solutions, we are a well-known and highly respected company providing services in roads, bridges, concrete, drainage and kerb & gutter.
We are now looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join our team in Western Sydney. You will work closely in supporting the Site Supervisor and site team co-ordinate and administer construction activities to ensure the project is implemented in accordance with plans, designs, specifications, product quality control, safety, budget & to schedule. We're looking for someone with initiative, focus, and a contagious enthusiasm that mirrors our forward-thinking, growth-driven culture.

What You Bring:
-
Reliability, motivation, excellent work ethics and positive attitude
-
3 yrs in civil works / subdivisions or other relevant experience
-
Trade qualifications not required although highly regarded
-
Experience and knowledge of managing busy sites
-
Strong time management and team leadership skills
-
Proven excellent safety record
-
Detailed knowledge of relevant safety standards and implementation
-
First Aid certificate or willing to attain
-
A can-do progressive attitude and willingness to continuously improve with a commitment to quality on the job
-
Construction white card and valid driver's license
Tasks & responsibilities:
-
Support the Site Supervisor
-
WHS management - safety is a priority at Devcon
-
Effective use Devcon's software and systems
-
Ensure that time frames and standards are met
-
Liaise with clients, consultants, councils, and the Devcon team
-
Manage subcontractors and labour hire to ensure quality and safety
-
Manage deliveries, maintain Devcon's commitment to quality
-
Positively engage and assist with leading the team
-
High level of communication skills
-
A desire to grow and learn
