Assistant Secretary – Program Advice and Corporate Law

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is inviting applications to fill Assistant Secretary – Program Advice and Corporate Law role within the Legal and Assurance Division.
Come and drive the branch with the division that is responsible for providing specific legal services to the department as well as enterprise risk, internal audit and fraud.
You will be a strong, insightful and inclusive leader who can bring out the best in your talented team and demonstrate substantial expertise in the delivery of complex legal services.
Our ideal candidate will:
- demonstrate strategic thinking, highly developed conceptual and analytical skills,
- will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with short deadlines, and interesting and often complex legal issues,
- demonstrate strong collaboration skills and working across departments and government to achieve results,

- be enthusiastic and enjoy leading a branch of high performing lawyers, that prides itself on delivering for its clients; and
