Our Opportunity

As our Pega Platform Developer, you will play a key lead role in the Design, Delivery, Improvement, and Support of IP Australia's primary IP Rights Administration Systems that are hosted on the Pega platform. This is a role that will span major new project delivery, ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI), and escalated technical support across all phases of the DTG operational model, delivering services to our key Trademarks, Designs and Patents IP Rights Administration systems.

The successful applicant will play a key leadership role across this crucial technology, driving service, innovation and direction. You will also need to liaise closely with business stakeholders, DTG leadership, and other DTG colleagues such as Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, IT Architecture and IT Security.

Job specific capabilities

Highly desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting within the Pega Cloud platform

o Alternatively significant demonstrated skills in a similar Development environment, with a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt.

  • Experience in delivery and operations within a Cloud hosted environment (e.g. AWS)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.

Desirable skills:

  • In addition to generalised Pega experience, further experience within a Pega Constellation Cloud environment, or ability to adapt to Constellation would be well regarded
  • Experience using an enterprise ITSM and task tracking tools such as ServiceNow and Atlassian Jira/Confluence
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding across many of the following technologies:

o

o MuleSoft and/or other API interfaces

o Oracle/Postgress databases

o HTML

o CSS

  • Understanding (or an ability to gain an understanding) of IP Rights related business processes and operations
  • Highly efficient communication and negotiation skills – both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, assess issues, provide resolutions, and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people to achieve organisational goals, valuing individual differences and working styles/patterns
  • Respond proactively to feedback and be willing to develop and apply new skills
