Workshop Manager – Structural Steel, Brisbane / Gold Coast

We're on the lookout for a capable and experienced Workshop Manager to take charge of our busy structural steel workshop located in Brisbane/Gold Coast.

This role is hands-on and requires someone who knows how to run a tight ship. We need a leader not just a manager who can keep the team moving, hit deadlines, and maintain high standards without needing their hand held.

You'll be someone who's been around the traps, understands what makes a good steel shop run well, and can bring ideas and systems to help keep things flowing smoothly. Attention to detail, pride in your work, and the ability to take ownership of the workshop are essential.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience managing a structural steel workshop
  • Strong fabrication and welding knowledge (you know your way around a job)
  • Hands-on and not afraid to get involved on the floor when needed
  • Solid understanding of QA processes and workshop documentation
  • Confident leading a team and keeping the crew focused and productive
  • Someone reliable, with a can-do attitude and high standards
  • Able to read and interpret structural steel drawings
  • AS 1796 (Structural) Certificate 10 is beneficial
