Summary:

We are looking for a Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker) who will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, welding, and maintenance works on fixed and mobile crushing plants, including wear liner package installation, repair, and replacement. This role requires strong trade skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively within a site maintenance team to ensure plant reliability and uptime.

Maintenance & Fabrication

Install, repair, and replace wear liners on crushers, chutes, hoppers, and other process plant equipment.Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work as required for maintenance and breakdown repairs.Inspect and maintain the structural integrity of crushing and screening equipment.Support scheduled shutdowns, planned maintenance, and breakdown response.Operate tools and plant equipment safely and in line with company procedures.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OHS legislation, site procedures, and permits.Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), SWMS, and Take 5s before starting tasks.Participant in incident/injury investigations where required.Follow lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), hot work and confined space entry procedures where applicable.Ensure that high standards of housekeeping in the work area are strictly adhered to.

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with Supervisors, other tradespersons, and operators to complete tasks safely and efficiently.Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly to the Supervisor or Project Manager.Attend and participate in SafeStart and Toolbox Meetings and any other related meetings the project requires

Qualifications:

  • Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication/Boilermaking).
  • OHS Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Working at Heights ().
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) High Risk Work Licence.
  • Hot Works Permit.
  • Telehandler Ticket (RIIHAN309F or equivalent).
  • Forklift Licence (LF).
  • C Class Driver's Licence
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Integrated Tool Carrier (IIHAN311F)
  • Demonstrated experience completing wear liner packages on crushing plants.
  • Competent in welding, cutting, and heavy fabrication (MIG, stick, gouging).
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
