About the role
The Lodge Jamberoo' is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific station or section within our award-winning kitchen, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes to our discerning guests. This is a full-time role based in Jamberoo, NSW 2533.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to our exacting standards
- Supervising and training junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of menu items
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Formal culinary training and qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and menu planning
- Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen
- Passion for using fresh, local ingredients to create innovative and flavourful dishes
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
