Primary Purpose:
Rostering for key roles is crucial for maintaining a Level of Preparedness for Regional Incident Control Centres (ICCs) to be established as part of the new EM Merge approach to SACFS Incident Management. An element in the rostering arrangements include developing capacity to engage casual staff, who may be volunteer SACFS members, for paid roles in the Incident Management Team (IMT) during preparedness phases.As an endorsed Level 2 or Level 3 Incident Management lead, as defined in the SACFS Incident Management Endorsement Framework, you are invited to apply for a role as for a casual Incident Management Officer in accordance with the Role Description.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate relevant abilities and experience operating successfully in the management of state and/or regional emergency incidents.
Successful applicants will be advised that they have been placed on the casual pool and will remain active for a period of 12 months. During this time successful applicants may be contacted for an offer of employment. The SACFS is not obliged to offer employment during the period of casual employment.

Essential Qualifications:
Applicants are required to hold formal endorsement of Level 2 or Level 3 Incident Management competencies as defined in the Incident Management Endorsement Framework or verification of equivalent experience.
Remuneration:
CFS-3 plus 25% casual loading
Special Conditions:
Engagement will be subject to a satisfactory Emergency Services Sector Criminal History Check. For all special conditions, please refer to the Role Description.
