Perth, Western Australia ASPECT Studios Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

We're looking for a Landscape Architect, Architect, or Urban Designer with a passion for shaping places that respond to people, place, and environment. If you bring strong design thinking, clear communication, and fresh ideas, we want you to help drive innovative concepts and push design excellence with us.

The Practice

ASPECT Studios is a purpose orientated, design led landscape architecture and urban design practice. With operations across Australia, Asia, the UK, and the Middle East, our studios believe in the power of design to positively change people's behaviour and lives, the environment, and the planet.

Perth Studio

Our studio is centrally located at the heart of the CBD, on the banks of the Derbarl Yerrigan in the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. We offer a highly collaborative environment with opportunities for hands-on mentorship and learning. Our team believes in the importance of creating a studio environment where an openness to new ideas and collaboration sits in partnership with deep knowledge and expertise.

Together we create a fun, down-to-earth and diverse workplace culture, with regular group outings and activities (think wellness walks, Friday drinks, afternoon teas, and learning/networking events).

The Role

We're looking for a passionate, high performing Landscape Architect to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. We are seeking someone who has broad exposure to all project stages, with a focus on documentation and contract administration phases. For this reason, we welcome candidates from other design disciplines who can demonstrate some aligned experience or collaboration with landscape teams.

In this role, you'll contribute to a diverse range of exciting projects - local civic, university, hospital, and destination play spaces, as well as international competitions, master planning and public realm projects – all with a targeted focus on delivering ASPECT's regenerative design principles

You'll:

  • Deliver the design and documentation of landscape architecture projects from concept through to construction, across a variety of project scales (master plans to detailed construction packages),
  • Coordinate and manage project deliverables including base analysis, site planning, design development, construction documentation, and tender packages,
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence, building strong and lasting industry relationships as you go,
  • Supervise and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative learning culture in our tight-knit studio,
  • Stay informed about emerging design trends and innovations, sustainability practices, and industry standards.

We're looking for someone who loves what they do, both in their design work and in their contributions to team and studio culture. You'll be working on a variety of projects at different stages, interacting with diverse project collaborators – strong project management, design thinking, technical expertise, and communication will be key.

The successful person will have:

  • Degree qualification(s) in Urban Design, Architecture or Landscape Architecture,
  • 3+ years of experience in professional design practice,
  • Proficiency in design software such as REVIT and AutoCAD (critical), Vectorworks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (highly desirable).
  • Exceptional visual communication and problem-solving skills,
  • Knowledge of sustainability and regenerative design and construction,
  • A passion for designing inclusive, sustainable places.

Why ASPECT Studios

We are city-shaping leaders, globally recognised for design innovation and our commitment to making a positive impact. Our studios are deeply collaborative and united by values that put people, culture and ecology at the centre of everything we do.

We offer a flexible, inclusive work environment, ongoing learning and development, and the opportunity to work on iconic local and international projects.

  • MAPS Days and paid volunteering – four paid days a year to grow your skills and knowledge,
