Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd is an incorporated joint venture between Yancoal Australia and Peabody PCI Australia.  The mine produces approximately 4 million tonnes of medium-volatile pulverized coal injection (PCI) coal and semi-hard coking coal for the export market.

Middlemount Coal is seeking to appoint experienced Drill Operators who will be responsible for performing duties relating to Drilling Operations, follow direction of appointed Supervisors and to the requirements of PHMP's and related Standard Operating Procedures.

Reporting to the Drill & Blast/Mine Services Superintendent this position works a roster of 7/7 rotating day/night shift.

In this role you will:

· Highly skilled individual.

· Passion for continuous improvement

· Experienced in open cut coal operations.

· Maintain records in accordance with site standards.

· Conduct and record equipment and area inspections.

Essential Requirements:

· RIIWHS301E Conduct Safety and Health Investigations

· RIICOM301E Communicate Information

Desirable:

· Mechanical background

· Drill Experienced within an Open-Cut Coal Environment

· Mining Experience
