Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters on-premises in private cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of OpenShift with existing enterprise systems.
  • Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Configure and manage OpenShift components including Operators, Ingress Controllers, Storage Classes, and Service Mesh.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities of OpenShift clusters.
  • Monitor cluster health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, RBAC, and compliance standards within the OpenShift environment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for OpenShift-related issues.
  • Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with Red Hat OpenShift updates, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience deploying and managing Red Hat OpenShift in on-premises environments.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, preferably RHEL.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls) and storage solutions (NFS, Ceph, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools integrated with OpenShift.
  • Red Hat certifications (e.g., EX280, EX288) are a plus.
