Job Summary

Kuroki Teppanyaki is a vibrant and sophisticated Japanese restaurant located in Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast. We're looking for an experienced Chef with a passion for Asian cuisine, especially Japanese or teppanyaki-style cooking, to join our growing culinary team.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a creative, team-oriented environment that values high standards, consistency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present a range of authentic Asian dishes, especially teppanyaki
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards are consistently met
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen alongside a passionate culinary team
• Support the Head Chef with menu planning and daily operations
• Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes with a focus on teppanyaki and Japanese cuisine
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless dining experience

Requirements

• Certificate lV in commercial cookery (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Asian cuisine
• Excellent knife skills and knowledge of traditional Asian cooking techniques
• Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
• Culinary qualifications are an advantage but not essential
• Must be reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
