Epworth is seeking a passionate and experienced
Data Scientist
to join our Strategy & Performance team. In this pivotal role, you'll harness the power of data to shape strategic decisions, enhance patient outcomes, and optimise hospital operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing predictive models and advanced analytics to support strategic initiatives.
  • Analysing clinical, operational, and financial data to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Building automation and optimisation tools to improve hospital performance.
  • Designing interactive dashboards and visualisations for executive decision-making.
  • Translating complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across departments to ensure data integrity and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Leading research into emerging healthcare analytics trends and technologies.

Role Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on healthcare analytics.
  • Expertise in predictive modelling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Power BI.
  • Deep understanding of hospital performance metrics and financial optimisation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, emotional maturity, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
