Associate Finance Business Partner 

As an Associate Finance Business
Partner, you will play a key supporting role in the
Finance team at Great Southern Bank. You will help ensure the accuracy and
timeliness of financial information that supports decision-making across the
organisation. Working closely with experienced Finance Business Partners and
Senior Finance Managers, you will gain exposure to financial planning,
budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for different business units.

This role provides an excellent
opportunity to build your foundational knowledge of how a bank operates
financially, including lending and deposit revenue streams and core operating
costs. You will assist in preparing reports, tracking performance, and supporting
teams with financial information to enable effective cost management and
planning.

This role will remain open to applications over the Christmas Period.

You'll make an impact by:  

• Building an understanding of banking revenue and cost structures, supporting analysis across customer products and operational divisions
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, updating models, and preparing supporting documentation
• Supporting the preparation of management reporting packs and variance analysis for divisional and group reporting cycles
• Performing month-end tasks such as reconciliations and journals, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Contributing to cost monitoring activities and help identify efficiency opportunities
• Working collaboratively with finance colleagues and business teams to help explain financial results and build financial understanding across the organisation, whist helping to prepare clear and accurate financial commentary for internal reporting

Do things differently with us  

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

• 1 year plus Banking and Financial Services, and Management Reporting / Finance Partner Experience
• Knowledge of process improvement, financial control processes, SQL and treasury highly desirable
• Desirable: Qualified finance professional or working towards (CIMA, CPA, CA, CFA, MBA, or another applicable postgraduate
• Desirable: Qualifications in data science or data science adjacent qualifications
