Redpath has been awarded a significant new contract at Olympic Dam with BHP, for the construction of two new surface declines within the Southern Mining Area (SMA).

A fleet of state-of-the-art mining equipment

Your position as a Leading Hand heavy diesel fitter will see you working across the workshops, underground service bays with field, and breakdown work included, machinery consisting of a fleet of Sandvik Jumbos, Cable bolters, Loaders and Trucks, Normet Spray rigs, Agi Trucks and Charge up Rigs plus more.

Your duties will be varied and involve:

  • Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts
  • Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
  • Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

FIFO from all Capital Cities.

Roster on Offer:2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, rotating day and night.

Your duties will be varied and involve:

  • Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts
  • Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
  • Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Your Value

The ideal candidate will come from a heavy vehicle background, develop or continue your career in underground mining.

  • Heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification
  • Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence + able to obtain a National Police Check within 3 months
  • Able to contribute and work well within a supportive and dynamic crew culture
  • A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
