About the role

As the Garden Nursery Assistant Manager at Ezi-Gro Orchids', you will play a vital role in supporting the operations and growth of our thriving garden nursery business. This is a full-time position based in Darch, Western Australia. You will assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of the nursery's day-to-day activities, from customer service to plant care and maintenance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the Nursery Manager in all operational aspects of the garden nursery
  2. Providing excellent customer service, answering queries and guiding customers in their purchases
  3. Monitoring and maintaining the health and quality of plants in the nursery
  4. Overseeing the receiving, stocking and display of new plant deliveries
  5. Supervising and training nursery staff to ensure efficient and effective nursery operations
  6. Collaborating with the marketing team to promote the nursery and its offerings
  7. Assisting with inventory management and stock control
  8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a garden nursery or horticulture-related role
  2. Strong knowledge of plants, their care and maintenance
  3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide knowledgeable advice
  4. Proven supervisory and team management experience
  5. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  6. Passion for the gardening and horticulture industry
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
