Allied Health Receptionist

This a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with the right disposition and skill set to join Fremantle Clinical Psychology and Counselling, the leading provider of psychological services in Fremantle.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic administrator to support our large, friendly team of allied health professionals and our wonderful community of clients.

This position will only suit someone looking to further their career in administration with the opportunity for the right candidate to progress into the role of office manager in the future.  Therefore, this position will not suit someone studying or otherwise working towards a career in another industry.

The role will suit a sufficiently mature, well-presented individual with exceptional client-centred communication skills, outstanding organisational skills, and a commitment to excellence in customer care who will be able to learn and adapt to our processes but also thrives and enjoys working independently and autonomously in a calm and quiet environment. 

This role will be suited to someone looking for the security of a 0.6 to full-time permanent position (depending on your needs). We will require you to work between Monday to Friday primarily during school/ business hours.  We do usually require an early start  (7:45am - 8:30am) but work/ life balance is a central value at our practice and so we can sometimes be flexible with start times and can more readily accommodate flexible finish times for personal appointments or carer/ parenting commitments.

Essential Criteria

PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for someone to join our team who is keen to settle into a permanent, long-term role with us. Therefore, this role will not suit someone studying for a different career or temporarily living in WA.

• Minimum 12-24 months experience working in a reception role, ideally in an allied health or medical centre setting.
• Two exceptional professional references (upon request)

Highly desired experience:

• Experience with Practice Management Software (eg. Halaxy or Best Practice etc)
• Experience with Medicare billing and claiming

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Managing enquiries, arranging appointments and greeting clients
• Assisting with invoicing, billing and processing payments
• Supporting our team of psychologists and counsellors
• Liaising between clients, psychologists and GP practices
• Managing confidential information securely
• Completing other general administrative duties as required
• Tidying and light cleaning duties

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent capacity to support a large team
• Ability to problem-solve independently and respond to challenges.

• Sound knowledge of client confidentiality and data security
• Professional presentation
• Friendly and flexible
