Trade Assistant/ Window Tint

Contribute your experience and skills to our team We're currently seeking a driven individual that has a basic to intermediate understanding of mechanical knowledge to join our team as a Trade Assistant. This role provides support to our mechanical tradespeople and wider workshop based team to ensure our high standards in maintaining and upkeeping our fleet are consistently met. • Earning Potential: Up to $85,000. including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances Inclusive of super
• Base rate of $ $35.81 per hour, depending on skills and experience
• Attendance Allowance: $15.08 payable on rostered worked hours
• Annual Leave: loading of 17.5% - 20% (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern)
• Up to 5 weeks annual leave (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern)
• 15 days sick leave accrued annually
• Eligible for long service leave after 7 years

 Role Responsibilities:

This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:

• Removal and fitment of Window Film Tint to vehicles
• Applying Decals and undertaking other project activities as required
• Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson
• Moving buses within the yard, parking and refuelling them
• Pick-up and delivery of parts and other objects as required by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand
• General yard/workshop cleaning and maintenance
• Store duties as and when required by the supervisor
• Performing other general, non-trades services as directed
• Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties
• Maintaining clean workshop practices
• Maintaining and performing all workshop practices in a manner that adheres to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations

Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.

You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.

• Confidence in using computers and software packages

• Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role which includes heavy lifting
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check. 
• Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State

•  Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred, however, not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individuals for the position.
•  Medium Rigid (MR) or higher licence class
