About the Role

We are currently seeking a Female Support Worker to join our team in Sale. You will be working with young people with autism, including non-verbal clients, providing support that is compassionate, respectful, and empowering.

Shift Hours:

Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support and some personal care using a positive, person-centred approach
  • Encourage and promote client independence
  • Assist clients with their emotional, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs
  • Support clients during activities and community participation
  • Provide transport when required

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people with autism (highly regarded)
  • Experience supporting non-verbal young people
  • Friendly, respectful, and willing to learn
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support/Community or higher, OR 1+ year equivalent experience
  • NDIS Worker's Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
  • Current driver's licence and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Proof of Australian citizenship or valid working visa
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (including booster if eligible) or valid medical exemption
  • Passion for working with people with disabilities and supporting independence
