About the Role:

Working closely and collaboratively, you will:

  • Provide crucial legal support to solicitors, including maintaining case management systems, preparing court documents, and creating comprehensive briefs and depositions.
  • Assist with file management and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including Corrections Victoria, counsel, police, and other government agencies.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents to support legal proceedings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and supporting opportunities to enhance divisional processes and participate in new initiatives.

  • Proven ability to provide administrative support in a complex, confidential, and sensitive legal environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • A strong capacity to work effectively as part of a team to maximise efficiency and outcomes.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to continuously improve processes and systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

The Salary for this position is VPS Grade 2.1.1 $60,295 per annum plus superannuation
