About the role

The Occupational Therapy Department at Bathurst Hospital is a group of approximately 10 friendly, enthusiastic and innovative therapists and Allied Health Assistants who are welcoming and willing to foster growth and development in their colleagues.

We work in ED, ICU, acute and rehabilitation wards, outpatients (Hand and Lymphoedema, Paediatric), ambulatory rehabilitation, community and sub-acute outreach to nearby towns. Our hours reflect daytime business hours with flexibility a feature.

We participate in the supervision of undergraduate Occupational Therapy University students.

We can offer a supportive work environment, the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development and professional supervision.

We enjoy strong relationships with our Allied Health colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.

We have a strong focus on team building and having fun together both at work and socially.

The Bathurst Hospital is an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. We are committed to providing the highest levels of healthcare and services. The hospital is a relatively new facility located behind the original historic building with all acute, rehabilitation and community health services co-located on site. We have a busy ED, Level 4 ICU and Maternity services, Medical ( including Tele stroke, palliative care, medical assessment unit) , Surgical ( including orthopaedics, general, O&G ) and Paediatric units, Rehabilitation ( inpatient and ambulatory service); expanding Ambulatory Care and HITH services, Community Health, Community Mental Health/ D&A , Cancer Care Services and a regional brain Injury Rehabilitation Program
