Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Personal Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and fitness and be dedicated to helping clients achieve their personal fitness goals. You will need to be able to run classes, work one-on-one with clients to create customized fitness plans, provide guidance and motivation, and ensure a safe and effective workout environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and medical history.
- Develop personalised fitness programs tailored to each client's needs, abilities, and goals.
- Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions, providing instruction on proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and safety.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting fitness plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Educate clients on nutrition, lifestyle changes, and other factors that contribute to overall health and fitness.
- Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and motivation to help clients stay on track with their fitness journey.
- Maintain a clean and organised workout environment, ensuring all equipment is used safely and correctly.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and professionalism, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all clients.
Qualifications:
- CPR certification.
- Cert III & IV in fitness
- Working with children check
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients' schedules.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with a diverse client base, including individuals with different fitness levels and goals.
- Additional certifications in specialised areas (e.g., strength and conditioning, yoga, Pilates).
- Knowledge of sports performance training and injury prevention.
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and meal planning.
