Public Information and Corporate Affairs Branch delivers a range of services aimed at increasing peoples' appreciation, knowledge and enjoyment of WA's wildlife, parks and conservation areas. the branch's work includes media relations, communications, social media coordination and public safety information in support of department-managed incidents, such as bushfires.
We are currently seeking a River Guardians Education Officer to join our team.
This role works closely with the Senior Officer, Behaviour Change and Public Participation to help deliver a suite of community-facing environmental education and behaviour change programs related to the Swan Canning Riverpark and surrounding catchment. These programs include:
- River Guardians
- Dolphin Watch and Junior Dolphin Watch
- Reel it in, and
- RiverWise gardens.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering curriculum linked environmental education and behaviour change programs for school children (Yr 1 to Yr 12), including associated materials.
- Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a community-facing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder and project partner relationships.
