PRIMARY DETAIL- Salary package: $99,161 to $109,457 (HEW 6) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.- Full-time, continuing role- Based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde and Ryde HospitalThe RoleTo coordinate and deliver operational and administrative support for students on placement in Hospitals and Clinical Schools.In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-level operational and administrative support to the Clinical Schools and their activities. You will provide advice and support to the Head of Clinical School across a broad range of university policies, procedures, and business processes, as well as guidance to students and clinical educators during placements, escalating issues where appropriate.You will take the lead in developing and implementing student orientation and induction programs in consultation with school leadership, and work closely with Curriculum and Discipline Leads, as well as hospital and university staff, to ensure students' progress through rotations aligns with curriculum requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating student clinical assessments in line with course requirements and relevant university policies.Some of your key responsibilities will include:In collaboration with the Clinical Leads, provide high level support for the coordination of clinical teaching and ensuring appropriate and safe clinical experience hours are maintained.Work with relevant hospital staff to coordinate teaching spaces, student support facilities, and teaching materials are prepared, maintained and available for staff and students.Evaluate, monitor and provide feedback on student progress while on placement and escalate any areas of concern.Provide regular updates to the Course/Education support team lead/Education Services Delivery Manager on student activities to inform planning of clinical placement experiences.Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersContribute to the development and implementation of improvements to administrative systems, processes and procedures.Work collaboratively with other areas of the University (such as the Shared Services Centre) to identify and implement opportunities for students and improvements to processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement to enhance and streamline the student experience.Provide support to the relevant Faculty committees as required.Comply with relevant professional standards and codes of ethics and EEO and WHS regulations.Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classificationAbout YouYou are a productive and highly organised professional, ideally with a background in health, education or clinical administration.
