We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturer in Crestmead. This position offers a long-term career opportunity, working with a range of specialised machinery in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Service and maintain cable manufacturing machinery, including extruders, stranders, and drawing machines.
  • Manage and implement maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Source and order spare parts as required.
  • Assist with the installation, optimisation, and operational review of machinery.
  • Carry out general building maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Trade-qualified Fitter with some boilermaker experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, or experience maintaining complex machinery.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Physically fit, with the ability to safely lift and move 20kg+ on a regular basis.
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening prior to permanent placement.

Hours of Work

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 4:06pm
  • Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Occasional on-call or weekend work may be required (infrequent).
