We're seeking a motivated Underground Technician to join a friendly and supportive team working across multiple Technical Services departments — including Geology, Ventilation, Survey, and Mine Control.
This role offers an expected duration until at least November 2026, a rare opportunity for stability in the mining industry. It's a temp-to-perm position for the right candidate, with full training provided on the specifics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underground & surface stockpile checks – ensuring physical stocks match system data.
- Drive scanning & photography – capturing development progress.
- Stope & production hole inspections – supporting geology and survey teams.
- Ventilation surveys & checks – monitoring air quality, VCD placement, and hazard identification.
- Data entry & reporting – keeping systems up to date (Excel, Pitram, VentSim).
- Ordering & collecting consumables – keeping the site stocked and operational.
- Ad hoc assistance – supporting technical services teams as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Manual C Class Driver's Licence – Essential.
- Underground mining experience – highly regarded (but not essential – training provided).
- Work at Heights ticket – advantageous.
- Safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Physically fit, adaptable, and eager to learn.
