Underground Service Technician – Field Maintenance Expert
">Job DescriptionSandvik is seeking an experienced Underground Service Technician to join our team of experts who provide field maintenance services for underground mining equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers' equipment.
As an Underground Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, including loaders, trucks, and drills.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and inspections, to ensure equipment integrity and safe operation.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, working closely with our customers to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Providing expert advice on equipment selection, configuration, and optimization to support our customers' business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Trade-qualified HD Fitter or Auto Electrician.
- Experience working with underground drill rigs, loaders, or trucks.
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to complete service documentation.
