The services offered include pro bono legal and workplace advice, support with accommodation and transport to and from treatment, as well as various types of financial support. These services aim to meet the legal, financial and practical needs of people affected by cancer and contribute to their well-being by reducing stress and improving their quality of life.

  • Establish relationships with referring healthcare professionals to increase referrer education and awareness of the services available to ensure high quality and appropriate referrals.
  • Oversee a cohort of law student or other volunteers who support the delivery of the services, including leading on day-to-day supervision and workflow management, and supporting the Team Leader, Legal & Financial Referral Services with volunteer recruitment, training and onboarding, and ongoing learning and development.
  • In collaboration with the Manager, Practical Support Services and Team Leader, Legal & Financial Referral Services contribute to projects and evaluations that improve the delivery and impact of the service.
  • Assist with promotional requests for the service including presenting to internal or external stakeholders.
