What you'll be doing:
The RFS Benevolent Fund provides NSW Rural Fire Service members and their families with support when they need it most. It is a truly meaningful investment in the welfare of our people, who are our greatest asset. The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the charity succeeds in its mission. You will contribute to all aspects of the Fund's strategic policies and practice, to ensure its good corporate governance and budgetary discipline. As a Director, you will also assess and decide applications for assistance. Directors also will be driving valuable new fundraising ventures to ensure the Fund is able to keep assisting RFS members in need well into the future.

- The personal attributes that will see you become a known and respected ambassador for the Board and its work – a collaborative team play with strong communication and interpersonal skills, integrity and empathy
- Skills that will contribute to the Board's success, whether in legal, marketing and promotion, fundraising, accounting, corporate governance or technology
- Board, leadership, charity, volunteer, emergency services or public policy experience
- The willingness to contribute all of this skill, experience and know-how pro bono
