Hedland Eye Care is a locally owned Optometry practice located Portside. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and quality products.

We are looking for someone to join our team as an Optical Dispenser.

If you have a passion for helping others, and are keen to be involved in bettering your local community, supporting small business and impacting social change then this is the job for you. Previous experience in the medical/optical industry is preferred but not required, we will teach you all you need to know.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Provide a high level of personalised customer service and make our patient's in store experience amazing
  • Identify patient's eye care needs
  • Provide product recommendations customised to their requirements
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Work autonomously and be willing to be part of a team
  • Administration tasks including health fund/Medicare claim

To be successful ideally you will have:

  • A willingness to learn
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Sales experience and the proven ability to build rapport and customer relationships
  • Dedication and a strong work ethic

A salary will be negotiated in line with experience.

This position is flexible with hours and we will negotiate hours to suit. We are open 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Up to two Saturday per month from 9-12 is required.
