About the role
As a
Senior Pharmacist
in the SA Voluntary Assisted Dying (SAVAD) Pharmacy Service, you'll be responsibly for ensuring safe and compassionate care for patients accessing VAD medications. This role provides an opportunity to care for patients at an important time and develop your leadership skills, as well as an opportunity to see many parts of South Australia. You will provide therapeutic advice and education to patients and their families, medical staff and other health professionals and ensure the highest level of legal and ethical practice.

About You
You are a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist who brings clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a strong commitment to optimising patient outcomes.

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
• Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including leadership, supervisory or management roles
• Experience with end-of-life care valued but not mandatory
• Current driver's license and willingness and availability to travel, including overnight
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to educate, mentor and train staff
