About the role

As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in the organisation, management and operation of the renal pharmacy service, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality pharmacy services. You will exercise independent and professional judgement in providing expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as to medical, nursing and other health professionals, in line with hospital policies, divisional procedures and professional pharmacy standards.

This role is central to achieving the best possible outcomes for patients through the safe, effective and cost-conscious use of pharmaceuticals. By implementing evidence-based strategies and fostering collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to a culture of excellence in patient care, while supporting the hospital's commitment to high-quality, sustainable and patient-focused healthcare.

About You

You will be an accomplished Pharmacist who brings clinical expertise, strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to patient-centred care. With a proven track record in hospital pharmacy practice, you will demonstrate professionalism, adaptability and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.

  • Qualifications – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Skills and Attributes – Highly developed communication and public relations skills, strong organisational ability, proven problem-solving capacity, and leadership in driving service improvement.
  • Experience – Extensive hospital pharmacy practice experience, with supervisory, leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge – Technical competence in pharmacy practice, supported by a thorough understanding of professional standards, codes of practice and contemporary healthcare requirements.
