Document Controller | Based in Adelaide
One of our best clients are on huge growth period after winning a large-number of major contracts, and are continuing to expand at pace.
As the company scales, they are looking to bring in their very first Document Controller to create structure and consistency across the organization. This is a pivotal role where you'll establish processes for managing internal documents, technical manuals, project bids, and other business-critical files. You'll have the chance to make a real impact by designing and implementing best practices for document management in a fast-moving, innovative environment.
Document Controller Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a structured document control system from the ground up.
- Manage and maintain internal documents, manuals, project bids, and reports.
- Oversee version control, approvals, and document workflows to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Administer and optimize
SharePoint
for document collaboration and accessibility across teams. - Support teams with the preparation of bids, tenders, and technical documentation.
- (Optional scope) Contribute to the design and creation of visual materials, graphics, and presentations using the
Adobe Creative Suite
. - Train staff on document control processes and ensure consistent adherence.
- Act as a central point of contact for all document-related queries.
Document Controller Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller, ideally in a technical or engineering-driven business.
- Strong knowledge of
SharePoint
—including building collaborative environments from scratch. - Solid understanding of document workflows, version control, and compliance requirements.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
- Bonus: Experience using
Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for the creation of supporting materials.
