About the role:-

We are seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. The role involves providing assistance to clients in their homes and communities, supporting them to develop skills, engage in social activities, and achieve their personal goals in accordance with their care plans. This position requires a caring and empathetic nature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to varying client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance- Assist with meal planning, preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary requirements
  • Support clients in attending medical appointments, social engagements, and community participation activities- Perform domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping
  • Assist with medication reminders in line with client care plans
  • Facilitate skill development, independence, and daily living activities
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with NDIS requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other support workers, allied health professionals, and family members
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in client needs

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification (or currently undertaking)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification- Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles and NDIS Quality Standards
  • Full Australian working rights

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with individuals with complex needs or behaviours of concern
  • Knowledge of manual handling procedures and assistive equipment
  • Experience with digital care management system
  • Additional language skills
