Job Overview:

The Senior Principal of Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will lead the strategic vision and execution of AI and ML initiatives within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive innovation and enhance business outcomes.

Role Summary

• Lead and manage Data, and AI Consulting projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and challenges and develop AI strategies and roadmaps to address their needs.
• Identify and evaluate AI opportunities within client organisations, conducting feasibility studies and assessing potential risks and benefits.
• Conduct thorough data analysis and data engineering tasks to prepare and preprocess data for AI model development.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, fostering their professional growth and development in AI and consulting domains.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them for client projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure seamless integration and implementation of AI solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader in Data, AI, and Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI and ML strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
• Identify opportunities for leveraging AI and ML to improve products, services, and operational efficiency.

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Project Oversight:

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI and ML models and solutions.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business development, to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Research and Development:

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and ML technologies and methodologies.
• Drive research initiatives to explore new AI applications and improve existing models.

Performance Monitoring:

• Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the performance and impact of AI initiatives.
• Analyze results and iterate on models and strategies based on data-driven insights.

Compliance and Ethics:

• Ensure that AI and ML practices adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Promote responsible AI usage within the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 15+ years of experience in AI and ML, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering AI and ML projects in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Leadership Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in AI, ML, or data science are a plus.
