We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Technology Solutions Trainer
to join our team at Komatsu. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Komatsu's Smart Solutions Training programs and enhance the skills of our staff, enabling us to stay ahead of the technology adoption curve. The Technology Solutions Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs specific to Komatsu's innovative Smart Construction, Smart Quarry, Smart Mining, and Intelligent Machine Control solutions.
As a key member of our training team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and technology partners to deliver world-class training that supports our commitment to providing advanced technological solutions for our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and run engaging Smart Solutions training programs for Komatsu staff and customers, with a focus on new and emerging technologies.
- Supporting our people and customers in adopting Smart Construction and other tech solutions that drive better business outcomes.
- Keeping training content current and relevant as new technologies roll out locally and from Japan.
- Working closely with our Smart Solutions and Smart Construction teams to ensure everything we deliver is accurate, consistent, and impactful.
- Helping to grow our library of Smart Construction courses, including "train the trainer" programs across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea.
- Aiming for high participant satisfaction (90–100%) and continuously look for ways to improve.
- Turning internal courses into external, revenue-generating programs for our customers.
- Staying up to date with Komatsu products, systems, and technologies so you can share knowledge confidently.
What You'll Bring
- Around 5 years' experience in training, learning design, or a related area (preferred).
- A good understanding of how training organisations operate and how people learn best.
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation — with the ability to make technical content engaging.
- Solid project management and organisational skills; you can plan, deliver, and follow up on training programs effectively.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset and the ability to build great working relationships.
- High attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Confidence using technology and software tools to design and deliver training.
- A flexible and positive attitude — you enjoy change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
