About the role

CareWays' are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Illawarra area. As a part-time Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly clients to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. This rewarding role offers flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  2. Providing emotional and social support to improve the wellbeing of our clients
  3. Maintaining accurate client records and reporting any changes or concerns
  4. Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

  1. A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support or a related field or completed 1st year of nursing degree
  2. Demonstrated experience in a similar care worker role, preferably in the aged care or disability support sector
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
  4. A genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults
  5. A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
  6. A caring, patient and empathetic nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care
